The trip was excellent
Many thanks to Terry, Anette & Debs for putting us up
and putting up with us

Thursday 13th May - 9:00amLeave home for Folkstone
Weather overcast but dry, uneventful run down
Thursday 13th May - EveningArrive Folkstone for overnight at Rob Roys B&B
Basic but has 2 ground anchors out front. 2 other bikers stopped overnight as well as us and they had come down from Redcar & Yarm. Folkstone was dead so we all ended up in the same pub for a nice meal, beer & biking stories
Friday 14th May - 10:00amBikes on to the Eurotunnel Shuttle for 30min trip  to France
The Shuttle was quick & painless and we were quickly out in sunny weather stopping every 100 or so miles for fuel.
Friday 14th May - 10:30amBlast through France, Belgium and arrive Amsterdam evening
Some interesting navigating added a few miles but on a road system that has 3 different numbers for the same road, it's to be expected. Took a wrong road in to Amsterdam resulting in an extra hour or so trying to find our way to Terry & Anette's through the back streets. In the end we of course, asked a policeman!  Quick shower & out for a beer and riding on the loony trams. Had to have a look at the red light district, be rude not to
Sat 15th May - All dayTaking in the delights of Amsterdam (or sleeping cos too knackered)
As if. Up brisk for a proper continental brekkie in the garden with Mexican bread, cheeses meat plus chocolate custard! Stories from Terry & Anette about life in Amsterdam and all the 'interesting' people in the flats nearby
in to town and a market to buy some goodies, bit of veggie lunch (Falafel) then on to a canal trip in the afternoon. A good Mexican meal on the evening and further  drinking & sightseeing
Sunday 16th May - 1st thing ishLeave Amsterdam, blast through Belgium, France
Great English brekkie then ready for off but find large lump of wire in my back tyre. pull it out and no puncture - lucky. No garages on highway and 20 miles in to reserve when we find a fuel stop, after that a good blast getting us to Calais well early. Want to charge us £30 to get an earlier crossing so we laid out on the grass for a rest.
Sunday 16th May - 6:00pmBikes on to the Channel Tunnel Shuttle for 30min trip  to UK
Again no problems but had to show passports this time. nice evening run along 'A' roads to Brighton
Sunday 16th May - 6:30pmOn to Debs at Brighton for the evening
Suprise suprise - out for a beer and chinese
Monday 17th - MorningLeave Brighton for home
330 miles to go. Seemed like all we were doing was stopping for petrol. Finally home to admire impressive collection of flies on the front of the bikes
Great.

Managed a total of almost 1300 miles with a little bit of getting lost
